American Apparel is ridiculous. Absolutely, completely, and famously ridiculous. The clothes are currently a la mode, semi-organic, and altogether hit-or-miss. Half of the clothes are great pieces; soft and durable, interestingly cut, and brilliantly colored. The other half of the clothes are weird, uncomfortable, unflattering, and pretentiously ostentatious.
Love it or hate it, get used to it because American Apparel has changed the way everyone under 35 dresses for the last 2 years and will probably continue to do so for a long time to come.
